This is a great series, BUT, as each book ends Amazon offers the next book in this series. Which sounds convenient but they don't tell you the price. They just give you a buy now option. Then I have to go to my Amazon digital account to see.what they charged me. Then I find I'm paying $4 for 126 pages. feels like buying very expensive excerpts. At $1.99 or even $2.99 I wouldn't have felt so ripped off. I know I souldn't have bought blind, and I won't again but I did expect fair pricing from Amazon.UPDATE:
I read this and then bought the next book in the series from Amazon. I paid $3.99 but this time the book had something like 1200 pages. All in all I feel good about my purchases and continue to enjoy this series.

This is a great series.I am addicted! I think there is one more book in the series, but I, like everyone else, have to say is it honestly enough bang for your buck? There are 126 pages for $4, great for the author, tough on the old average consumer. Not so sure I can afford to go any further than this one as much as I love them! Bummer!
Interesting book, but am not about to pay for each chapter that in the end I would have had a hard cover book!
Will waiting till this is done and buy the whole thing at once.
Interesting storyline, a bit liberal oriented and simnplistic in the plot, but the writer is a good one. will see if there are any past books he has written and check them out.
I found the fist two books of the series to be very entertaining, well-written and real page burners. However, the third book sort of fell apart. There wasn't as much attention to detail in the sentence structure and the plot got more childish. I like to read youth fiction when it's fast paced, but book 3, Evolution, sort of dropped the ball.
These are good stories and quick reads. There's only one more to read & I'm through with this series. I highly recommend these for anyone who likes a good sci-fi story.
From the first book, I couldn't get to fast enough to buy the other two that go with it. I did think it took a new turn in the road, when it is revealed they are "Star children", with special abilities. I kept thinking, where is this going. But as the book progressed, I found my self wanting more. Sometimes it's fun to read alittle sci fi, fantasy, young adult books. Please hurry and get the fourth book out so I can get my hands on it.
This is the on going story of the 2 brothers Jake and Will, Sam their sister and their new alien friend Tammy. Having stolen the truck old bessie the four are heading west hoping that they will find something to help them get away from their pursuers. The story has lots of action and close calls. This story will keep teen readers involved with the story.
Just when I think Jeremy can't surprise me anymore.. he does!
His writing keeps me engaged. His character development is flawless.
Here I am again, caught up with his writing in the middle of a series. I did it before with the Blood and the Brotherhood saga... As much as I want to read more... I dread the ending of the story.
This series is for young adults and does a beautiful job of introducing some pretty heavy themes without being obnoxious about it. Laszlo does another impeccable job of keeping the story balanced between the heavy themes and lighthearted joys of childhood.
I simply cannot wait for the next book!
